A new video by Wired puts all three major voice assistants from Apple, Amazon, and Google to the test to see which is the best at understanding a variety of different accents.
In the test, eight different people with eight different accents ask the same questions to Siri, Alexa, and Google assistant. The products used were an iPhone, an Echo, and a Google Home.
Surprisingly Siri did pretty well, ranking second behind Google Home in the questions asked. Alexa came in last.
While this test is interesting, I find it a tad bit unfair because they were using speakers, designed to hear you very well versus an iPhone, which if we’re being honest, is not as ideal. That said, Siri still seemed to do ok.
